Pregnant women represent one of the most important target group identified by the WHO for the seasonal influenza vaccination, since they can have serious complications after influenza and the consequences can be dramatic. Professor Cox Brokstad suggests therefore that all pregnant women, particularly in the second and third trimester, vaccinate against influenza.
