From WAidid workshop on Vaccination of Older Adults, held in Milan on December, 2nd, and supported by Vaccine Europe, Prof. Ortiz de Lejarazu (University of Valladolid, Spain) speaks about influenza coverage in Spain as one of the highest in Europe but nonetheless still to be improved. Thousands of people, mostly elderly, still die or are hospitalized each year because of influenza season. For this reason, he underlines the importance of seasonal flu shot in order to save lives but also to gain in quality of life.
