Professor Guido Castelli Gattinara speaks about the second line HIV therapy in children.
Children with HIV infection now are decreasing in number worldwide because of the prevention of mother-to-child transmission but at least in Europe we have quite a lot of children growing thanks to drugs they have been taking.
Children who developed resistance have now a second or third line therapy; we have the opportunity to treat them also with new kind of drugs. New combined therapy , infact, are now available for children too.
